Microsclerotherapy - Thread Veins

Microsclerotherapy effectively treats thread and spider veins. It’s often considered the gold standard treatment for small veins.

It involves injections with a very fine needle of a sclerosing drug which  irritates  the lining of the veins causing the walls to stick together. Blood stops flowing through the veins, which are then absorbed by the body over a period of  a few weeks. The blood is directed back to the deeper veins.

Microsclerotherapy is a very safe and well-established treatment for reducing the appearance of unwanted thread and spider veins. Although there are many alternative procedures available, microsclerotherapy treatment remains the most reliably successful available. The injections are virtually painless, and normal activity can be resumed as soon as fifteen minutes post-treatment

After microsclerotherapy, treated veins tend to fade within a few weeks, although occasionally it may take a month or more to see the full results. In some instances, several microsclerotherapy treatments may be needed.

The number of sessions you require may vary, depending on the size or number of areas that need microsclerotherapy treatment.
